Co-founder and Freelance Artist at WarRay, whose aim is to provide high quality art assets and tools for Interactive, Post production and Pre-Vis in the competitive freelancing market. I am a highly creative and self motivated Art Director, 3D artist, conceptual designer, illustrator with 16 years experience in the computer games and visualisation industries. Exceptional team player interested in building partnerships within production art and inter-related fields. Passionate problem solver with extensive experience as a team leader seeking to promote and encourage best practice solutions for quality and efficiency.

Responsible for Art Direction and Outsourcing Management across existing and under-development IP. 

  • Management of outsourced assets, Concept design, prototyping, direction, QA and implementation.
  • Design of art pipeline structure and workflow improvements:
  • Character pipeline including concept design, prototyping, animation and rigging.
  • Environments pipeline, concept through to implementation.
  • Design of player customisable elements.
  • Designed and implemented workflow changes to allow for player customisable elements.

DIGITAL ARTIST/FABRICATION VISUALISATION

The Design and creation of assets and patterns for the construction of large scale character props for live stage and venue performances. Sculpting character maquettes and liaising across engineering, fabrication and soft design.

Responsible for the art direction and pipeline development for a yet to be announced sporting title. Liasing with outsourcing vendors and QA of assets and generation of morph data for player based character creation.

CONTRACT 3D Designer 

Responsible for the management and creation of assets across a broad range of disciplines and delivery formats, Design and implementation of an interactive BIM solution for multiple delivery platforms including mobile devices using game development software. Day to day problem solving to do with assets delivered by engineers as well as client data from a vast range of non-complimentary sources, to be delivered as high quality visual guides and promotional assets.

IGNITE STUDIOS
CONTRACT ARTIST

The creation of high-end licensed cars for an online racing simulator. Involves the creation of the model, texture LOD'ing and set up for game, a highly specialised and labour intensive market.

Creation of shoe models and textures for an Adidas interactive/tvc campaign.

Senior artist responsible for the creation of key assets for games, promotional art and RnD for future projects. Also directing and mentoring small teams in the creation of assets including vehicles, environments and characters.

 LEAD CHARACTER ARTIST (Contract)

Responsible for the the design and implementation of an extensible open framework for the creation of character Avatars for a 3D social networking enterprise. Investigation of simplified techniques with the aim of establishing a standard form of bipedal character creation to promote “end user” customization. Management of outsourcing and system structuring.
